Director
Academy Director Kimberly Merritt
Kim is a writer, instructor, and stylist, whose words and work have been featured in New Hampshire Magazine, New England Home Magazine, HGTV, Disney Family, SheKnows.com, and elsewhere on the web. She shares her more than 25 years of design experience with her students in her New Hampshire design studio and has taught hundreds of people from around the world. Kim has spoken at a variety of organizations including, WCAA, ADE, IRIS, and the Interior Design Society.

She felt there was something missing from her formal interior design education: the art and science of interior decorating. Feeling there was a need in the market for additional creative training for interior design professionals, and a more affordable option for receiving professional training, Kim created the Certified Decorating Professional® programs with this in mind.

When I researched certification training for this profession, I didn't care where I had to go, I wanted the most qualified instructor, the most in-depth program, and the most practical information I could get regarding starting my Interior Redesign/Staging/Interior Decorating business. I found it, in my home state of New Hampshire. I cannot recommend Kim as an instructor and mentor more highly.
